Miniature Braided Rug

Made from tapestry crewel.

This rug is an authentic braided rug in miniature. I hand braid the cord from one length using finger braiding. Then the rug is meticulessly sewn together loop by loop, round and round and round, just like Grandma used to make the full size ones. It takes several hours to do just a small rug like this. Rug is totally reversible, with a slightly different pattern on each side. Solid neutral dark gray color will go just about anywhere you need a small throw rug for your doll's house. Measures 2 1/2" X 3 3/4", and a tiny 1/16" thick. Color is Coats & Clark number 182, Persian Type by Red Heart.
